Montgomery County Public Schools is actively seeking a Teacher of Students with Visually Impairments. This is an itinerant position serving students from 3-21 and will require the following competencies:

* Thorough knowledge of educational implications of visual impairment and blindness
* Thorough knowledge of Learning Media Assessment, Expanded Core Curriculum, and CVI
* Ability to develop appropriate goals within the areas of the ECC
* Thorough knowledge of technology for the visually impaired
* Instructional strategies to accommodate and modify core curriculum
* Strong report writing skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and a variety of disciplines.
